I just arrived in CA safe and sound. Other than the airline losing my wheelchair (no joke), we made it with no problems. Right when I climbed into the truck, I was greeted by Aunt Ruthie's tasty burritos! Thank goodness she sent some food, because getting up at 4 AM to catch a flight can sure make a girl hungry. After the hour and a half ride, we made it to Aunt Ruth's and Uncle Mike's house in San Bernardino. I was excited to see that all my little cousins made me welcome signs and hung them on the garage. Everyone was waiting for me in the driveway and smothered me with lots of hugs and kisses! Once I made it inside, I opened some presents that were sent from my great cousin Little Dottie, Oscar and their family. In the big blue gift bag was a little blue angel necklace, a monkey (sadly, not a real one-he he) and a gift card for my Disneyland trip. Sweet! My Aunt Ruth also made me a photo album of all my nieces from Washington so I have their pictures to look at while I'm away. Right now, I'm just relaxing in my Uncle's favorite lounge chair (yes, he gave it up for me) and talking to the family. I can tell already, this is going to be one great trip! I'll write about my adventures again soon.
